Candidates Screening & Registration Process
The candidate screening process involves several stages designed to identify the most suitable candidates for the job. Our recruitment team contact the candidate's previous employers or references to verify the information provided and gain insights into the candidate's work ethic, performance, and suitability for the new role. We also conduct background checks to verify the candidate's education, employment history, criminal record, licence check, and other relevant information. The registration process is very simple just click on sign up as a driver and follow our online application with all the requested information and submit.
Driving Licence
All drivers who create an account with speedy drivers must have a valid driving licence of the category they are applying.
Identity Documents
All drivers must have a valid identity document such as Passport, BRC/BRP or Settlement status when sign up.
Work History
All drivers must needs to fill up their work history using our online registration tool for us to verify with their previous/current employers.
Screening Process
All drivers must have to go through our screening process which normally takes 7-15 working days before any job engagement.
Professional Drivers
We Welcome Drivers Of Any Category
B - Van / Car
Category B driving licence allows individuals to drive a motor vehicle with a maximum authorized mass (MAM) of up to 3,500 kilograms and can carry up to eight passengers. This category is commonly referred to as a "standard" or "car" driving licence
C1 - 7.5 Ton
Category C1 driving licence allows individuals to drive vehicles between 3,500 and 7,500kg maximum authorised mass ( MAM ) (with a trailer up to 750kg). This category is commonly associated with driving smaller lorries, trucks and other commercial vehicles
C - HGV Rigid
C license allows drivers to drive vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, but must not exceed 32 tonnes. Category C (or Class 2 as they are otherwise known) licences typically cover a vehicle with a cab and trailer fixed permanently together. This category is typically associated with driving large trucks and lorries.
CE - HGV Artic
An LGV CE driver is a lorry driver who holds a Category CE licence. LGV CE drivers are qualified to operate vehicles that weigh over 3,500 kg, with a trailer of over 750 kg. They can drive artics and drawbar combinations and can haul a maximum weight of 44 tonnes. This category is maximum category of licence which you can hold to drive any large goods vehicle (LGV).
D1 - Minibus
D1 is a category on your driving licence that permits you to legally drive vehicles of between 9 & 16 seats. If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you'll automatically have category D1 on your licence. However, if you passed your test after this date, you will need to apply to have D1 added to your licence. Category D1 driving licence allows individuals to drive vehicles with a maximum authorized mass (MAM) between 3,500 kilograms and 7,500 kilograms. This category is typically associated with driving minibuses.
D - Bus/Coach
D is a category on your driving licence that permits you to legally drive vehicles of 16 seats and above. Category D driving licence allows individuals to drive vehicles with a maximum authorized mass (MAM) 7,500 kilograms and above. This category is typically associated with driving buses/coaches.
